Article 1�. - The Shield, the Flag and the National Hymn, they are the Native Symbols of the Mexican United States. The present Law is of public order and it regulates its characteristics and diffusion, as well as the use of the Shield and the Flag, the honors to this last one and the execution of the Hymn.

Article 2�. - The National Shield is constituted by a Mexican eagle, with the exposed left profile, the superior part of the wings in a higher level that the feather and lightly deployed in combat attitude; with the plumage of sustentation down playing the line and the feathers of this in natural fan. Inn their left claw on a flourished nopal that he/she is born in a rock that emerges of a lake, subject with the right and with the pick, in attitude of devouring, to a curved snake, so that it harmonizes with the group. Several pencas of the nopal ramifies to the sides. Two branches, one of encino to the front of the eagle and another of laurel to the opposed side, they form among both an inferior semicircle and they unite by means of a list divided in three fringes that, when the National Shield is represented in natural colors, they correspond those of the National Flag. A model of the National Shield, authenticated by the three powers of the Union, will remain deposited in the General File of the Nation, one in the National Museum of History and another in the House of Currency.

Article 3�. - The National Flag consists on a rectangle divided in three vertical fringes of identical measures, with the colors in the following order starting from the horn: green, white and red. In the white fringe and to the center, he/she has the National Shield, with a diameter of fourth three parts of the width of this fringe. The proportion between the width and longitude of the flag, is from four to seven. He/she will be able to take a knot or tie of the same colors, to the foot of the spearhead. A model of the National Flag, authenticated by the three powers of the Union, will remain deposited in the General File of the Nation and another in the National Museum of History.

Article 4�. - The letter and music of the National Hymn are those that appear the the special chapter of this Law. The text and music of the National Hymn, authenticated by the three powers of the Union, they will remain deposited in the General File of the Nation, in the National Library and in the National Museum of History.

Article 38. - The song, execution and reproduction and circulation of the National Hymn, they will attach to the letter and music of the version settled down in the present Law. The interpretation of the Hymn will always be made in a respectful way and in an environment that allows to observe the due solemnity.

Article 39. -It is strictly forbidden to alter the letter or music of the National Hymn and to execute it total or partially in compositions or arrangements. Also, it is prohibited to sing or to execute the National Hymn with ends of commercial publicity or of similar nature. It is prohibited to sing or to exercise the hymns of other nations, except for the respective diplomatic representative's expressed authorization and of the Secretary of Government.

Article 40. - All the editions or reproductions of the National Hymn will require authorization of the Secretaries of Government and of Public Education. The theater shows, cinema, radio and television that turn on the National Hymn and their authors, or that they contain reasons of that, they will need of the approval of the Secretaries of Government and of Public Education, according to their respective competitions. The radio stations and of television they will be able to transmit the entire National Hymn or fragmentarily, previous authorization of the Secretary of Government, except for the transmissions of official ceremonies.

Article 41. - Of the time that corresponds to the State in the frequencies of the radio for Law and in the television channels, in the legal terms of the matter, it will be included in their daily programming to the beginning and closing of the transmissions the execution of the National Hymn and in the case of television, simultaneously the image of the National Flag. The number of verses that you/they will be intoned will be defined by the Secretary of Government.

Article 42. - The National Hymn will only be executed, total or partially, in solemn acts of official, civic, cultural, school or sport character, and to surrender honors as much to the Flag as to the President of the Republic. In these last two cases, the music of the choir will be executed, of the first verse and he/she will end with the repetition of that of the choir.

Article 43. - In the case of execution of the National Hymn to make honors to the President of the Republic, the bands of war will remain in silence, but in the casode honor to the Flag, the band of music ejercutar� the Hymn and those of war will play " Flag " simultaneously. In any ceremony the National Hymn will be executed more than twice to make honors to the Flag neither more than twice to surrender honors to the President of the Republic.

Article 44. - During civic solemnities in that combined corals intone the National Hymn, the bands of war will keep silent.

Article 45. - The civil demonstration of respect to the National Hymn will be made in position of strong. The males, with the discovered head.

Article 46. - It's obligatory the teaching of the National Hymn in all the facilities of primary and secondary education. Every year the educational authorities will summon to a competition of infantile choirs on the interpretation of the National Hymn, where the students of elementary and secondary teaching of the National Educational System participate.

Article 47. - When in a ceremony of official character the National Hymn and another foreigner should be played, the native one will be executed in the first place. In acts of international character in those that Mexico is country headquarters, it will be been to what establishes the corresponding ceremonial.

Article 48. - The embassies or consulates of Mexico, will offer that in Mexican commemorations of solemn character, the National Hymn be executed.
